I actually own the BOOK now, and it is a favorite of my children, especially Ella's.
That being said...
One little monkey climbed on a BUNK BED, she fell off and broke...
HER ARM!
Really, are any of you surprised?
She is a tough girl. She thinks she can do anything and has little fear (if any) Well, last Thursday night, as I was finishing up cleaning up dinner, trying to get banana bread in the oven and encouraging the kids to get their pajamas on... we hear the help, help, CRASH, and curdling scream. Poor Ella! She was trying to climb up the side of the boys bunk (not the ladder, who would want to use that?!) And she fell, fracturing her radius. Now, some of you may know that we have been expecting my sister and her family as they have been traveling across country. Our house, the 1/2 way point. They are to spend a few days here, traveling to Myrtle Beach with us before heading on their route back home. Great time to have a cast... that you have to keep dry. Poor Ella, because she LOVES to SWIM! Luckily, it's only on for 3 weeks... hopefully it won't be too terrible, hot, cumbersome, and weapon-like.
She was a VERY brave girl. And so far, very understanding of what it limits her on. What a good girl.

That's one bullet I was able to dodge......casts. None of my kids ever had one, but stitches...well that's another story.
Couldn't comment on your spider posts for some reason, but that's really creepy. HATE spiders! What do you know about the creepy things that live there? Anything realy dangerous or anything?
yes, Dawn...lots of creepy crawlies, and some dangerous and poisonous. Besides Alligators, there are black widows (Ive actually seen one) brown recluse, poisonous toads, all sorts of poisonous snakes and lots more things.
We see a lot of turtles and lizards, that are not harmful.
I think most people worry more about the mosquitos, ticks, chiggers and such... not deadly but annoying as heck. (except the ticks, those are definitely something to worry about, no one wants lyme disease!)
We loved visiting you guys and had a great time with Ella though she was temporarily crippled. She was a good sport! Love you sis.
